The Issues & Advocacy Committee of the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce plays a critical role in shaping the civic landscape of our region. By addressing public policy issues that affect our business community, this committee serves as the voice of local business, working to promote collaboration, civic education, and meaningful dialogue with elected officials and decision-makers.

Legislative Forums with WCTV
During election season, the committee partners with Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) and Hometown Media Group to co-host candidate interviews and legislative forums on InFocus Live. These events provide the public with a transparent look at where candidates stand on important community and economic issues.
Chamber Day at the Indiana Statehouse
Each year, the Chamber organizes a delegation to the Indiana Statehouse to participate in Chamber Day. This statewide event includes tours of the Statehouse, networking with other Chambers, updates on the Indiana Chamber’s legislative agenda, and opportunities to meet directly with elected officials.
