Richmond, IN – The Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Alyssa Zdobinski as its new Director of Membership and Education, a role essential to advancing the Chamber’s mission of growth, connection, and community leadership. Alyssa is a recent graduate of Indiana University East, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with minors in Political Science and Marketing. During her time at IUE, she worked in several departments—including Campus Life, External Affairs, and Admissions—and served as Student Government Association President for the 2024–2025 academic year. Originally from Eaton, Ohio, she was also heavily involved in the Preble County community before making the move to Indiana. Her diverse background in leadership, education, and community outreach, makes her an excellent fit for this position. Alyssa brings not only professional skills but also a strong passion for serving Wayne County’s business community and fostering meaningful connections. “I’m excited to begin this new chapter with the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Zdobinski. “I look forward to fulfilling my passion for collaborating with educators, legislators, and business leaders to help create a better Wayne County!" In her new role, Alyssa will serve as staff lead for the Chamber’s Business & Education Committee, IMPACT Committee, and HYPE Wayne County. She will work closely with committee members to coordinate initiatives such as career and hiring fairs, while also expanding benefits for existing members. In addition, she will provide one-on-one support to ensure both new and longtime members maximize the value of their Chamber membership.
"We wanted someone who could not only continue the great work already in motion but also bring new energy and vision to the role,” said President & CEO Melissa Vance. “Alyssa’s leadership experience, community involvement, and passion for supporting local businesses made her a perfect fit." Alyssa will collaborate with the full Chamber team to continue building on the momentum established by her predecessor, Shawntel Baker, while also bringing fresh ideas and energy to support the Chamber’s continued growth.
