Student Future Success (SFS) is the new county-wide work-based learning program designed to connect students with internship and career exploration opportunities through local businesses and organizations.
Through SFS, students can explore career interests, gain hands-on experience, and build valuable workplace skills before graduating.
The SFS Portal currently includes next year's incoming high school seniors from all 6 Wayne County schools.
Here’s what families can expect as students move through the SFS process.
Students access the SFS Portal, create their password, and complete their profile.
Students can review available work-based learning opportunities from local employers.
Students can apply to positions that match their interests, skills, and career goals.
The student’s Work-Based Learning Coordinator reviews the application and determines whether it should move forward.
Employers review approved applications and may choose to request an interview or move forward with a placement.
Once selected, the student is placed into the opportunity and begins their work-based learning experience.
Each school has a Work-Based Learning Coordinator who helps guide students through the process.
