WC Leads

WC Leads, Wayne County Leads, Cohort
The Wayne County Leads (WC Leads) program is a dynamic leadership development cohort created to empower young professionals to step into roles of influence and impact in Wayne County. A signature initiative of HYPE Wayne County, WC Leads is designed to equip emerging leaders with the skills, connections, and confidence needed to shape the future of our community.

This selective program prepares participants to lead with intention—at work, in the community, and beyond—by offering hands-on experiences, meaningful mentorship, and opportunities to engage directly with local leaders and organizations.

Program Overview

The WC Leads program supports the Chamber’s mission to build a pipeline of future leaders by investing in the personal and professional growth of young professionals across Wayne County.
Participants in WC Leads:
  • Develop essential leadership and communication skills
  • Build strong relationships with mentors and peers
  • Learn about community challenges and opportunities
  • Gain exposure to influential organizations and thought leaders

Mentorship Matters

Each WC Leads participant is carefully matched with a mentor from a similar career path. Mentors meet regularly with their mentees throughout the program to offer personalized guidance, industry insight, and encouragement. These relationships are designed to foster professional growth while creating lasting connections within the Wayne County business community.
