The Wayne County Leads program encourages young professionals to be the future business and community leaders needed in our county. By providing these designated leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary, we will build a community where individuals work for the common good and lead Wayne County to a strong and prosperous future.
Each cohort member will be paired with a mentor from a similar career pathway that will meet with them throughout the program. Throughout WC Leads, participants will be exposed to various organizations and community leaders to engage with and learn valuable information.
Graduation from the WC Leads does not signify an end but represents the beginning of a commitment to civic involvement. Participants are expected to become continually, substantively, and actively engaged within community organizations in leadership roles.
