The Buy Local Committee encourages residents of Wayne County to utilize local retail businesses and local services in order to improve our local economy. To Buy Local means we take advantage of excellent quality local services and products.
Buy Local is also more than merely retail - the benefits of shopping and buying local far exceed the money saved on gas! Whether you are buying a car, furniture, or clothing, consider the great quality, price, and service available right here in Wayne County!
Money spent in our community "turns over" seven times. When you Buy Local, you support the local economy, local businesses, and local jobs.
The Buy Local Committee oversees programs and events at the Chamber such as Shop Small Saturday, Wayne County Weekends, Restaurant Week, and Couch Shopping. This committee also oversees the Buy Local Certified program, which is responsible for the Chamber Gift Certificate program.
The Buy Local Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 11:30 am at a local restaurant. Restaurant locations change every quarter.
