​HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Engage) Wayne County is the Chamber's newest committee. HYPE aims to connect employers and the young workforce together, bridging gaps for the future leaders. HYPE, which was previously a stand-alone 501c(3), has redirected their programming to include more professional development opportunities for their members.

Develop
HYPE strives to give young professionals the tools to develop, learn and grow professionally and personally, preparing them to be the future leaders of their communities.  ​
Engage
HYPE strives to engage and connect young professionals to meaningful opportunities and experiences in our service region.
Empower
HYPE strives to empower young professionals to have a voice and impact within our community, and to advocate for themselves within their workplaces.

Events / Meetings

HYPE holds monthly meetings: HYPE Nights and quarterly Conversations with Coffee that take place at 8:30. These meetings will be held at various locations throughout the community for informative conversations as well as trying new activities.

Leadership

HYPE Wayne County is an action committee of the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce. Their Board of Directors oversees the committee's operations. The Board of Directors votes for a committee chair each year. The HYPE Wayne County committee will vote to have one of their members serve as a representative of young professionals on the Chamber’s Board of Directors. One Chamber staff member will serve as the staff lead for the committee.
