LEADERSHIP ACADEMY FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS, presented by HYPE WAYNE COUNTY Mission: Wayne County Leads provides young professionals with the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to advance their careers in the community.
The Wayne County Leads program encourages young professionals to be the future business and community leaders needed for a thriving community. Providing these designated leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge will build a community where individuals work for the common good and lead Wayne County to a strong and prosperous future.
In every session, each participant should actively engage in discussions and class work and complete outside assignments. Your presence, energy, ideas, and questions are essential to the full WC Leads experience. Candidates MUST have the full support of the organization they represent.
Graduation from WC Leads does not signify an end but represents the beginning of a commitment to civic involvement. Participants are expected to become continually, substantively, and actively engaged within community businesses/organizations in leadership roles. Remember leadership happens at all levels of an organization.
Throughout the WC Leads experience, participants will meet various community leaders to engage who are excited to share valuable information.

Applications are accepted until July 31, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Only 12 spots will be filled this year. Applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in the following years.
