The National Civics Bee is an annual competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.
Participating 6th, 7th and 8th grade students flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes.
The third annual National Civics Bee will take place in 2024 in partnership with local and state chambers of commerce across the United States.
The Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to have been named an official partner to host a competition in Richmond, Indiana in 2024. Information for students and teachers will be distributed by local school corporations.
2023-2024 Key Dates
November 13, 2023: Essay portal opens
January 8, 2024: Essay portal closes
January 9-16, 2024: Essay judging
February 20 - April 30: Local Bees take place
May 1 - August 31: State Bees take place
Fall 2024: National Championship takes place in Washington D.C. (date TBD)
