The National Civics Bee is an annual competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.
Participating 6th, 7th and 8th grade students flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes.
The fourth annual National Civics Bee will take place in 2025 in partnership with local and state chambers of commerce across the United States.
The Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to have been named an official partner to host a competition in Richmond, Indiana in 2025. Information for students and teachers will be distributed by local school corporations.

October 15, 2024: Essay portal opens
February 4, 2025: Essay portal closes -
February 6-12, 2025: Essay judging
February 14-24, 2025: Local Finalists Notified
March 10 - May 3, 2025: Local Bees take place
May 16 - August 30: State Bees take place
