​Melissa Vance is a Wayne County native and grad​uate of Centerville High School. She holds a business degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her background includes significant accomplishments in business development, marketing, and public relations. She has a diverse background with experience in banking, entrepreneurship, healthcare, grant writing, and nonprofit leadership. In addition to her role at the Chamber, Melissa serves on boards of directors or advisory councils for Indiana Chamber Executives Association, IU East, Ivy Tech, Eastern Indiana Small Business Development Corporation, Earlham College, Wayne County Convention & Tourism Bureau , Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, Forward Wayne County, and Richmond Symphony Orchestra.

Shawntel Baker

Shawntel Baker is a lifelong Wayne County resident and a graduate of Centerville High School. Holding leadership positions for the Northeastern PTO and Music Boosters, she has a history of successful fundraising and an inherent talent for recruiting and connecting volunteers. Her authentic passion for this community and its people is infectious. Shawntel has coached basketball and cheerleading for Randolph Southern and Northeastern Schools and currently serves as the Northeastern Wayne Schools Board President. She loves being a wife to Don, Mom to three adult children, and Gram to three grandchildren (and a handful of extras she claims as her own). In her “spare time,” she enjoys reading, walking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Lynnette Davis

Director of Events

Lynnette Davis joined the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Events. She has a passion for coordinating events, loves to be creative, and enjoys having fun while doing Chamber reels. She loves working with the Awards, Celebrations, and Events (ACEs) Committee to celebrate the amazing things happening in Wayne County. Lynnette is a graduate of Randolph Southern High School and Ball State University. She serves on the Board of the Richmond UEA (Urban Enterprise Association) and as the Northeastern Music Boosters President.  In her spare time, Lynnette enjoys traveling, creating, watching movies, going to concerts, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Indianapolis Colts and Purdue Boilermakers.
Alyssa Roberts

Alyssa recently graduated from Indiana University East with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and minors in Political Science and Marketing. Originally from Eaton, Ohio, she has been an active member of the Preble County community and gained diverse experience through roles in IU East’s Campus Life, External Affairs, and Admissions offices. During her time at IUE, Alyssa also served as Student Government President for the 2024–2025 academic year. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her collection of saltwater and freshwater aquariums.

​Alexis joined the Chamber as the Marketing and Communications Specialist. Born and raised in Centerville, Alexis is a proud local who graduated from Centerville High School before heading to Indiana University. There, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in media and advertising management. Prior to joining the Chamber, Alexis gained valuable experience as a social media and graphic design intern at Cope Environmental Center. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends, family, and her dog, Gizmo. She’s also an avid sports fan, with a particular enthusiasm for IU basketball.

Kalleigh Smith

Kalleigh Smith, a proud native of Wayne County and a graduate of Northeastern High School, has a strong educational background. She earned her associate’s degree in general studies from Ivy Tech Community College before transferring to Ball State University, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in art education. Kalleigh is passionate about various pursuits that enrich her life. In her free time, she enjoys creating artwork, exploring new skills, traveling, diving into books, cooking, and visiting local markets to connect with artisans. Having recently returned to Richmond, Kalleigh is excited to join our team and looks forward to building connections in the community and making a positive impact.
