Earlham College Offers Students of Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce Members New Scholarship6/3/2021 Earlham College is pleased to offer students of Wayne County Chamber of Commerce members the Earlham College Hometown Scholarship, which is valued at $2,500 each year for four years. By combining merit-based scholarships with this new Hometown Scholarship, students from Wayne County may be eligible for up to $32,500 each year in Earlham funding. Information about all of Earlham's scholarships can be found at earlham.edu/scholarships. "It's incredibly important for us as a Chamber to provide new and helpful benefits for our members," said Chamber President and CEO Melissa Vance. "This scholarship opportunity from Earlham College is not just a benefit for our member businesses, but to their employees and their children as well."
This new scholarship opportunity is just the latest of many ways that the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce have partnered with our local educational institutions. Ivy Tech offers a 5% tuition rebate to Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce members who go through the Achieve Your Degree Program. And, just last month, Indiana University East and Ivy Tech Richmond offered $1,000 scholarships to all 223 Wayne County high school seniors that attended the 2021 School is Cool Senior Celebration. Vance added, "The more our local students stay in Wayne County for college, the more likely we will retain them in our community long-term to fill our talent pipeline."
