A Governor’s Luncheon, hosted at Forest Hills Country Club, will include a “fireside” chat with Indiana’s Governor. This member-exclusive event will give Chamber members the opportunity to interact with the 51st Governor and hear about the current state of Indiana. From COVID recovery to the workforce, infrastructure development and more, the conversation will be informative for all those that attend. Melissa Vance, Chamber President/CEO states, “It is not every day that Governor Holcomb visits Wayne County. This luncheon will be a great way for our members to ask questions, express ideas and hear about the next steps toward a resilient economy.”
Over the past year and a half, the Chamber has partnered with other public and private entities to offer support for the business community. These efforts included financial programs as well as streamlining the flow of personal protective equipment. Staying closely connected to federal, state, and local government, the Chamber assisted in providing timely information. Vance says this is the perfect time for Governor Holcomb to meet with members as we plan for growth in a post-pandemic world. The Chamber’s Issues & Advocacy Committee takes the lead with government relations and brings relevant topics to the table with a well-rounded group of members. The Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is a business network that promotes members and the community by encouraging economic growth and superior quality of life.
