RP&L promotes assistant to replace retiring general manager

RICHMOND, Ind. — Tony Foster has spent three years with Randy Baker learning the power industry.

Now, when Baker retires at the end of the month, Foster will replace him as Richmond Power & Light's general manager. The RP&L board, which is composed of Richmond Common Council members, approved Foster's selection Monday evening.

“Thank you for this opportunity," Foster told board members. "It’s been an honor and a privilege to work with Randy Baker the last three years. He’s left RP&L in really good shape. We have a really good team and employees at Richmond Power & Light. We’re going to work together to tackle some of the challenges that lie ahead.”
